Hello. My name is Thiha Oo and welcome to my personal web site.
I was born and grew up in Myanmar (formerly called Burma). As my parents are government staffs (medical doctors), we had to move and lived in many different places in Myanmar. I finished my basic education high school in 1996 at Loikaw which is the capital of Ka Yar state (one of the 14 states of Myanmar).
After my high school education, I attended two years diploma course for Electronics technology at Yangon Technological University and got my diploma in 1999. I was admitted to University of Computer Studies Mandalay in 2000 and therefore I moved to Mandalay city in that year. I received my Bachelor of Computer Science (BCSc) with Honours degree in 2005. I also worked as a part-time technician at one of the local computer centers in my hometown, Mandalay, while in my university time. I also learned a lot about programming and computer hardware during that time period. I like programming, working/assembling computer hardware and components, building customized PCs, computer games, gadgets, digital graphics and digital multimedia.
In 2007, I got a chance to attend Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for MSC (Digital Media Technology) under school of computer engineering. Therefore, I moved to Singapore in June 2007. I received my MSC (DMT) degree from NTU in 2010.
Since then, I started working in Singapore as a full-time software engineer. I got many years of experiences in the areas of basic electronics, software engineering, game development, mobile application development, graphic visualization, 2D/3D rendering, image processing, etc. I also have some working experience in USA for about one year as a senior software engineer. You can see my work experiences and portfolios on different pages in this web site.
I became a Singapore citizen in the year 2022. I am currently working as an “software solution architect” at one of the local companies in Singapore.
